About Parma Concrete Contractors
Parma Concrete Contractors handles residential flatwork in Parma and the cities around it: driveways, patios, stamped concrete, walks and steps, garage and shed slabs, and repairs on concrete that still has life in it.
Parma's housing went up in a hurry. The city had 28,897 residents in 1950 and 82,845 in 1960, and Census survey figures summarized by Point2Homes put the median home's build year at 1958. A lot of the concrete around those homes is original or on its second pour, and it has sat through decades of freeze-thaw and road salt. Sorting out what can be saved from what has to go is a big part of the job.
From first call to cured slab
Before anything is priced. We come out, measure, watch how water moves across the area, and read the slab's edges and cracks to see why it failed. Finish choices get talked through on the same visit.
The quote. Written and itemized: removal, base, thickness, steel, finish, joints and sealer, then a total. If a permit might apply, we look into your city's rules before a date goes on the calendar.
Pour day. The stone base is compacted and the forms are checked for pitch before the truck shows up.
Afterward. Joints get cut, the slab cures, and you get dates for foot traffic, cars and the first use of deicer.
If tear-out uncovers something nobody could see, like soft ground under the old slab, you see it first, and the change is written down before any extra work happens.
Work we pass on
Foundation walls and basement foundations are outside what we do. When the real problem belongs to a foundation specialist or a plumber, for example a broken drain line under a driveway, we say so before you spend money on concrete that would fail again.
