We remove the failed concrete and dig out soft soil. Then we place and compact crushed stone, set forms with the right slope, add reinforcement and pour air-entrained concrete. Control joints go in the same day to guide cracking. For steps we dig to firm ground, compact the base and form steps with even risers. The apron at the street gets extra thickness because it carries the heaviest loads.
